How to fly Business Class for the price of Economy

24 April 2015

                                Introducing La Compagnie

This new French airline, based at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, is launching a new direct, All Business Class, transatlantic service from London to New York City!

La Compagnie have been operating their Paris to New York route since November last year, and in February they announced a new route between London Luton and Newark. From launch, one Boeing 757-200 will fly 5 times a week with 74 reclinable (to 180 degrees) seats in a 2x2 configuration. To give you an idea of the space you can expect on-board, this size of aircraft can usually accommodate up to 235 passengers when running with a standard mixed cabin.

British Airways are the main competitor for this London to New York route, with the airline having recently celebrated five years of operating their popular twice-daily service between London City and JFK. Their service offers 32 fully flat beds, iPads for entertainment and classically British Elemis amenities. But to fly this service you would be looking at paying almost £3,500 per person.

With La Compagnie’s promotional fares available until 31st May you can pay as little as £1,950 for 2 to fly return from London Luton to Newark! (Yes, that’s for two people!)

There are frequent train services that take approximately 30 minutes from central London to Luton Airport from only £6, so you can make the most of your pre-flight time relaxing in the Aspire Lounge.

Will the entry of La Compagnie to the Business Travel scene make a cost effective splash with companies traveling regularly between London and New York? We will be keeping a close eye on their launch so stay tuned for more.....
